On July 6th NoteAble teamed up with the Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra as part of their SUMMERMUSIK Series. We would like to thank Ms. LeAnne Anklin for welcoming us to be a part of such a fun event. We would also like to thank the CCO’s guitarist Roger Klug who also visited NoteAble to give a small workshop.

Themed the British Invasion this event featured a lot of great acts and headlined by Roger Klug and a String Quartet giving a kaleidoscopic view of one of rock’s greatest bands, the Beatles. However, before Roger and the String section struck their first note our kids gave a pristine performance of Yesterday and Eleanor Rigby. We were very excited to share that night and their success with them.

From June 5th to July 7th NoteAble was blessed to welcome many shiny new faces for our First Annual Guitar Summer Camp. For 5 weeks these guitarists played their hearts out for two hours every day. It was beautiful to watch those minds involved in instrumental practice, activities to promote music literacy, and seeing their eyes light up while watching performances of diverse instrumentalists. For the majority of the students, the camp was their introduction to playing an instrument, but you wouldn’t know it!

The camp concluded with a performance by our campers in the Wordplay space in Northside. They weaved through French-folk melodies one minute and covering the Beatles the next. Bows were taken, a reception was had, many a game was played, and we felt pretty great about having a handful of bright, precocious, young talents join our ranks. We’re very thankful to have them.

An enormous THANK YOU to all those who attended and helped to make our Fundraiser on May 6th a success!

This particular event was hosted by the beautiful North Church located right on Hamilton a hop, skip, and jump away from NoteAble. However, it wasn’t proximity that made us feel so at home. Both the North Church community, as well as all our supporters, seemed so happy to be present in the moment sharing good music, food, and company.

Honorable mention to all our brilliant performers. Bravo!
